Hey there fellow Toddites.
First off all I just wanted to say thanks for all the birthday wishes I got the other day.
Secondly, I'm sorry to say that I won't be around at all really from now on, at least for now anyway. Due to uni/work and personal life, I don't really have much time or concentration to give to Todd and I don't want to screw up the great that we've doing recently. It sucks that I won't be around for episode 5 though. I've spoken to Gax and explained things and he's cool with it all which makes it much easier.
Anyway for now I will bid you bonjour and I'll see you soon.
I'm back with another exciting incite into what Luke Edwards does on Todd. Episode 4 has been a tough one for me. I just couldn't get back into the swing of things after taking a break over Christmas and new year, but from what I hear most of the team has been the same so I feel slightly better about it. The script is awesome and has some really cool bits to animate, it also has some really tough bits to animate. I was pretty happy with the scenes that I got given to do. Every night when I've got home from uni I've got stuck right into it and I'm amazed how quickly I turned it out once I got going. I've aldo completed all my avi files. some of them I wasn't happy with so I've redone them serveral times but overall I'm pretty happy with what I've handed over to Gax. He's already reviewed them and given me the green light to create the wmv files which I'm looking at doing this weekend. Creating the wmvs is always my favourite part of the whole process because you get to see everything come to life and it always amazes me what 100 drawn cells can turn into once you start to put it all together. It's great to see.
This episode penultimate episode of the series and ends on a bit of a cliff-hanger. Not sure of a release date yet but I'm sure Gax will announce it when he has one.
I've also been asked to look into something else for the series but I'm not allowed to say what yet, I'm dying to spill the beans about it but I'll try my best to keep my trap shut for now.
Hello again Toddites
It's been what feels like ages since I did my last blog (probably cause it has). At the back end of the last year I was really busy and into the episode 3 work and pretty much as soon as we finished I went away for the Christmas break. I went over to Ontario Canada to visit some of my family over there. It was a pretty ace holiday and it was a great place to visit, I'd love to go back there soon. I hope you all has a great holiday and New Year and have settles back into the daily routine again, it's taking me ages to get back into the swing of things what with work and uni and soon to come I hope will be the episode 4 stuff. At the moment I'd much rather be doing Todd work than uni work, it's all so difficult to get back motivated and start, but I have a feeling that once I start with the Todd work I'll get straight back into it cause I love doing it.
Just had an interesting phone call from Gax about some stuff that will be coming up, it all sounds interesting, if a little bit different to what we've been doing recently.
I've actually only just managed to get round to watching Episode 3 this morning because of all that was happening over the holiday and I gotta say....I love it! I'm sure it's been said before but it's great to see how things have progressed and how eveything is coming together and working better together. Can't wait to see all the guys again and see what episode 4 will bring for us.
I'm off now to visit my girl and give her gifts from Canada.
I'm going to aim this year to do a blog a little bit more often...aim :)
See you all soon!
So it’s been quite a while since my last blog so here’s just a quick update of what I’ve been upto.
First uni, I’m back at uni and the work is really starting to pile up. Trying my best to keep on top of it all which unfortunatly means that at the moment I have no personal social life, but, of course I still make time to do my Todd work. So far I’ve finished off the cells and avi’s for 3 of the 5 scenes that I have to do and only have the avi’s to do on the remaining 2. This episode has been pretty cool to animate...I can’t say I’ve ever animating a killer vending machine before haha!
I believe we’re looking at a release date at the end of November for this episode, which is long off now and of course if we can do that it means we’re getting far better at producing in a quicker turn around so we can get more episodes out quicker which is just awesome!
I’m off for now, back to the uni work....fun times!
I want to do a blog but I have no idea what to say, so I figured I would just ramble for a while and maybe you’ll get to the end and maybe you won’t haha!
So what have I been up to recently?
Well personally I’ve just been carrying on my course at Uni and working my weekend job, things are about to start kicking off again at Uni this month so I’ll probably have less time to work on Todd but I’m certainly going to do what I can to keep up my work.
As for Todd, you may have noticed over on the Facebook page that Level 2 is pretty much complete apart from the music side of things, my part is done, all animation is done and put together. This was my first episode that I worked on and I’ve got to say it’s a really good feeling and I can’t wait to see it all put together and online and for people to give their feedback on it, it’s been tough and a lot of hard work but well worth it and I’m really looking forward to getting my teeth into the next.
Oh and I also did an interview for Angry Sloth the other day as Todd the Zombie is Septembers featured project over there. Not sure when it’ll be online, it could be online now while you’re reading this or it could be a few days off, either way go over and take a look anyway, Gaxs interview is up and there’s other things to enjoy too.
Hello again friends!
Just a little bit of an update on my work that I’ve been doing the past few weeks. I’ve done the last of my few scenes that I was asked to do. After sending them back over to Gax it’s been suggested that I might want to do some of the compiling work too when it needs to be done, I’m looking forward to doing that not only because it sounds really fun and interesting to do but I will also get more of a insight into the episodes and also learn some new skills. It’s gonna be great!
I’m away for the next couple of days so won’t get any work done then but I’m looking forward to getting straight back into the work when I get back.
So for now I’ll see you soon!
Hi welcome to my first blog :)
As it’s my first blog and the other guys have introduced themselves a bit in their first then I think I should introduce myself too.
As you know, my name is Luke. I live in Bolton in the UK so not too far away from all the other guys. I’ve always loved animation, love to watch a lot of animated movies and TV programs in my spare time, stuff like Family Guy and South Park are my favourites. During the day I’m at Uni studying Computer Games and Software Development and at the weekend I have a simple job in a supermarket.
I got my first assignment from Gax, which was to put the cells together for scene 19. It’s quite a short scene but there’s quite a lot that happens in it and it’s quite a fun scene too so I’ve enjoyed doing it. I have a feeling that I’m really going to enjoy this the further I get into it because It’s right up my alley. I can’t wait to get more stuff to do.
I’ll leave it here for now and send this over to Gax and Mark so it can be uploaded.
Thanks for reading and keep watching Todd :)
